I thought I would tell you a bit about my background and how 'the Gift Store, LLC' came to life! I come from over 20years experience in the retail & accounting field. Working for several different types of trades & employers I have found myself always wanting to run my own business & give customers the 'real' fair trade and make an honest living without being greedy! I have seen business’s mis-use their monies or not apply the monies back into their business to help them grow. I have seen a lot of business’s that are ‘corporate’ minded and just want to charge high prices so their bonus checks & pocket books are full!
I am not out to be the next 'Millionaire', I just want to be able to give the consumer products without 'gouging' their pocket books! I wanted to have a business that I enjoy working and other people would enjoy as well!
Advertising, Advertising & Advertising....without advertising, whether it's handing out cards/flyers or
face-to-face contact to TV & Radio Spots - your business can not grow. Even if there is sufficient word of mouth, that only goes so far and doesn't necessarily advertise in the areas/zones that you are trying to reach. I worked for a local television for a short period of time & learned about several advertising medians that are available in a variety of price ranges to fit almost anyone's budgets. The internet is a very important median, now days with people 'surfing the net', using 'Bing', 'Twitter', 'FaceBook' and more - you can't afford not to at least have a website so your business is circulating! We will be using these different methods to advertise the store & it's vendors. The goal is too make the gift business's succeed and this would not be possible without advertising!
I opened an online gifts company 4years ago and have been doing fairly well. I also opened a promotional & marketing products online business 3years ago, still in acquiring new customer phase, but doing well for a ‘newbie’. But unfortunately, I find that a lot of potential customers would still like to ‘come & see’ the products first hand. Consumers are still wary about purchasing online unless it is a nationally known business. So my business's have reached their plateau due to this circumstance.
I had made a deal with a business owner to place my gift products in their store - but then they
closed their doors with no warning! So being extremely irratated & dissapointed.... it drove me to look for a retail location, because my mind was set on having a location for the Upcoming Holidays!
I looked around areas that I thought I would like to be located and found this location…. contacted the Realtor and discovered that truly ‘when a door closes & window opens’! This location is affordable, has ample parking, multiple easy access’s and you don’t have to walk through a mall to get there! Not only can I help my business grow – but give other small home business’s the opportunity that I desperately wanted for over 2years – A Retail Outlet to expose my Business’s Products & Goods!
So, after 3years and with the help of a Private Owner/Investor - here I am – managing/operating a store unexpectedly, mentally/physically ready and extremely excited about giving other business’s like myself the opportunity to make their business known without high expenses. For one ‘Night Out on the Town’ a month – you too can have your own ‘Retail Outlet’ Location. It is an advertising expense (since you are renting display space – which is used to advertise your business). You are showing an effort to build your business and that it’s ‘not just a hobby’. AND it’s quite affordable – if I had this opportunity @ these rates, I would have most certainly have taken them!
